ABOUT ME
I am a licensed professional clinical counselor, license #878-6-15-16-321, operating a private psychotherapy practice in Minot, North Dakota. I earned my Masters of Science in Community Counseling with a clinical mental health track from the University of Mary, in Bismarck, North Dakota, in 2016. My interest areas are in trauma, posttraumatic growth, issues related to emergency service careers, military life, and religion. I use a holistic and collaborative approach, seeking to understand perceptions, experiences, and worldviews within the cultural context of the client. I am thorough, structured, and I will challenge you to reach your goals. I encourage and support the process of growth, observing and fostering the power clients harness when they discover new paths along their journey or in the rediscovery of the paths they've taken before, but through a different lens. |
Previously, I kept offices in Minot, ND where I operated my practice. I am currently working in Telehealth. I have worked as an advanced clinical specialist for a state agency. I started my career working in a non-profit community agency as an outpatient therapist and with the same agency as a family based intensive in-home therapist. I conducted my practicum at two locations, a non-profit agency specializing in sexual trauma and at a state government community agency, both in Minot, North Dakota. I completed my internship at a non-profit counseling agency specializing in sexual trauma, using trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy as the primary intervention. I have worked in service to others throughout my life through coaching, military and emergency service careers, and volunteerism.
